Why should I be a sperm donor?
Because many women and couples have to recourse to sperm donation in order to be able to have children. It is an act of generosity, thanks to which some people are able to make their dreams of achieving pregnancy and becoming parents a reality.
What disorders make it necessary to recourse to sperm donation?
There are many possible reasons. It may be that the patient has irretrievably damaged testicles after having undergone chemotherapy or radiotherapy; that they want to prevent the possible transmission of a genetic irregularity to their future offspring; or when it is necessary due to poor sperm quality.
What needs to be done?
Contact our Centre, FIVclínic, arrange an appointment and receive full information about the process. The next step will be to carry out a basic assessment of your medical history, including your relatives, your own background, a medical examination and a full blood test. The aim here is to rule out any contraindications.
Sperm donation is a simple process, but it is important to follow the instructions received. No treatments or procedures are necessary in order to obtain the donor sample.
