Cryopreservation of oocytes or ovarian cortex is central in women who must undergo medical treatments that put at risk their possibility of becoming mothers in the future. <\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/campussef.com\/\">Fertility Preservation Campus<\/a> was organized by the Fertility Preservation Interest Group of the <a href=\"https:\/ \/www.sefertilidad.net\/\">Spanish Fertility Society<\/a>, coordinated by Dr. Dolors Manau, responsible for assisted reproduction at FIVcl\u00ednic. One of the main objectives of the group is the preparation of consensus documents and clinical guidelines with a multidisciplinary approach. We know that the <a href=\"https:\/\/fivclinic.es\/es\/preservation-of-fertility-in-women-at-risk\/\">preservation of fertility<\/a> is involved in diseases of different specialties.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In which patients are fertility preservation indicated?<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Although the group&#8217;s work initially focused on patients with hematological cancers and breast cancer, this time it dealt with other indications of fertility preservation. Specifically:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>in patients with genetic diseases that cause premature ovarian rupture, for example: the premutation of the FMR1 gene, which causes disorders associated with the fragile X chromosome; or mutations in the BRCA gene, which increase the risk of breast or ovarian cancer.<\/li>\r\n<li>in patients with recurrent surgeries on the ovary, as occurs in cases of endometriosis.<\/li>\r\n<li>in patients with autoimmune diseases with gonadotoxic treatments (such as chemotherapy).<\/li>\r\n<li>or in transgender patients, among others.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>With reproduction experts from all over Spain<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Reproductive medicine professionals from the Hospital Cl\u00ednic, Hospital de Sant Pau and Hospital Sant Joan de D\u00e9u in Barcelona met there.
